Shyok valley is beautiful. Not so touristy like Nubra may be. But Its vibrant since the good old Silk Route days. Name of the river Shyok comes from the word (death ) signifies the underlined history behind this valley.
Breathtakingly beautiful, this valley connects Nubra with Pangong Lake directly with a not so bad road and this route is very popular among tourists to cut short a day on their itinerary, otherwise, tourist has to go back to Leh via Changla/Khardungla Pass twice while covering Pangong/Nubra. One can complete the triangle Leh-Nubra-Pangong-Leh easily. better to avoid this route during Monsoon/Flood during July end/Mid August.
